Radio interview about "hotspot" Moria
Our board member Clara Bünger gave a radio interview about the situation in Moria camp on the Greek island of Lesvos. She describes her own impressions of the overcrowded camp, stressing that the real purpose of the "hotspots", to speed up asylum procedures, was never fulfilled. Instead, many asylum seekers are stuck in dire conditions on the islands for months to years. In the interview, Clara also recalls the responsibility of the EU member states, and urges the German government: "Germany has to take responsibility, get unaccompanied minors out of the miserable camps at the EU-hotspots and enable family reunion for refugees with close relatives in Germany!" Listen to the interview here (only German).
